Heaven, Earth, World, Sky, Clouds

Genesis 1 1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

This blog will examine  the difference between the words earth, world, sky and clouds. This will help to determine if the flood of Noah was local or world wide. It will examine the number of heavens in the bible to determine which one Jesus ascended to?

The bible is a translation of ancient text and symbols into Hebrew, Greek, Latin, English words of which some have different meanings today than the original symbols used in the bible.

Examining words can provide clarity when studying the bible.

In the non-English translations of the book of Genesis the word earth, is defined as a region. and this means the region of the earth was destroyed but in the English bibles the planet was destroyed, therefore based on ancient text the descendants of Cain Genesis 4 and the family of Seth Genesis 5 are still on the earth.

For example, the word world first appears in the bible in the book of Samuel 2:8

8398 long after the flood; but does the word world have the same meaning as the word earth?

There is a difference between the European translation and some ancient translations. Many people were taught that Noah was the ancestor of the whole world, Negros (Africans), Semites (Shem) and Caucasians (Japeth)

But if the flood was local than we should look to the religious text and mythology of Asia, Japan, Africa and certain tribes of India for their versions of the flood and then try to find out how many others had a story.  Noah landed in Africa the land was disbursed to Asia and Africa not Europe. (Let me know if I am wrong).

Then we move on to Genesis 10 and we can see that Noah gave his sons land. Something else we should consider is the features of these people. That for a long time they lived in what is called Ethiopia and Nubia.

This is evidence that (Noah - English version) Noak or NK was the ancestor of a specific group of people the story has nothing to do with all of humanity but his descendnats and their God and he was not the ancestor of all Africans. Keep in mind there are the other children of Noah and his descendants, also Cain and the others that Cain referred to all of the children of the Seth and his descendants.

In Genesis 6:6-7, the writer states the reason Noah is going to prepare the boat.

6 And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.

7 And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.

Keep in mind that the bible is a translation of ancient symbols and words into Old English and because of this, the words should be defined by using the oldest language possible and then using another source to verify.  Never use one source.

Most bibles define this word Earth as land

In verse 6 of this passage the Hebrew bible uses the word Ha aretz, this word is defined as land.

WORLD

the word world first appears in the bible in the book of Samuel 2:8 long after the flood; but does the word world have the same meaning as the word earth? The answer is NO.

old testament

1Samuel 2:8 - the greek defines the word world as land or country

8 He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the Lord's, and he hath set the world upon them. We can see in this text that the earth and word are different.

Psalm 73:12 -  5769

Psalm 49:1  -   2465

Psalm 22:27 -  776

Isaiah 38::11 - 2309

new testament

2889 - Matthew 4:8

165 - Matthew 12:32

3625 Matthew 24:14

Let's explore the various heavens

Genesis 1 uses the word heavens

In Genesis 1 the verse in OJB is

1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

(OJB) 1 In the beginning Elohim created hashomayim (the heavens, Himel) and haaretz (the earth). These words can also be defined as kasamawana, kamala, and Karas..

(Latin) 1 In principio creavit Deus caelum (heaven) et terram (ground). (Latin)

(Greek) - 3772. ouranose (heaven) _ vaulted expanse in the sky / Ghay  the earth, land and

Maori - 1  He mea hanga na te atua i te timatanga te rangi me te whenua.

Somali - Bilowgii Ilaah samada iyo dhulkuu abuuray.

SAMADA - HEAVEN - END OF Life

caeli - heavens

11 Corrupta est autem terra coram Deo, et repleta est iniquitate.

More to come.....

In my opinion, the translators did everything they could to make the events in the bible spiritual and mystical. Why? I don't know but one thing for sure, they were no friends to ancient African culture or the people who practiced the ancient religion. It is very probable that Noach (NK) as stated in Hebrew text is not the father of all mankind but a select group of ancient people who lived in Africa hundreds of thousands of years ago.
