Divination and Prophecy

After watching the video do you wonder what exactly was going on between the Lord and Abraham? It appears the priest of the temple were using Augury - (interpreting omens from the behavior of birds) to determine the future but were these birds also used in Luke 2:20 to give a prediction about Jesus.   LUKE 2:20-23 speaks of Jesus being presented as a child but verse 24 states the type of birds that were used; turtledoves and pigeons.  24 And to offer a sacrifice according to that which is said in the law of the Lord, A pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons. Were the turtle doves and pigeons used for divination? What roll did these birds play in this type of a sacrifice?

25 And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation (comfort after a loss) of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him.

26 -27 And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord's Christ, and he came by the Spirit into the temple: and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him after the custom of the law, then he took him up in his arms ( in the verses 28-32 he is expressing his views)

33 Mary and Joseph are seemingly surprised at what they heard but did they receive a divination, prophecy or prediction.  The text describes the words that Simeon used as things that were spoken of. What does that mean?

34 Simon then begins to speak of things to come. Are the turtle doves and pigeons used for divination or prophecy? Which one is it?

When Noah released the raven and the dove was this also augury?

Did every ancient tribe of the world practice this ritual called augury ?
