Was a real person and the story of Solomon has a moral lesson but lets examine the scriptures to find out if he was really a wise ruler.
SO ISRAEL REBELLED AGAINST THE HOUSE (family) OF DAVID UNTO THIS DAY. 1st Kings 12:19 there was a reason for this rebellion.
Reading text Chronicles 22:1-19 1Kings chapter 2
The first act of Solomon also known as Jedidiah is murder. 1Kings chapter 2
His father did not tell him to kill any one but he did advise Solomon to use wisdom relating to Joab an officer of his court, according to your wisdom do not let his hoar (grey) head go down to the grave in peace ( as per the instructions of his father 1Kings 2:6
David also told Solomon to use the same wisdom with Shemei the son of Gera, a Benjamin of Bahurim as he did with Joab
Solomon executed his brother Adonijah and claimed the Lord appointed him but Adonijah said the kingdom was his because the people wanted him to be king. ( what does this mean? God never gave the name of a son of David to be king.
David also gave him instructions to be kind to the sons of Barsillai the Gilead, and let them eat at your table.
One of the questions we all should have is why David was forbidden to build the temple because he had blood on his hands and Solomon who had blood on his hand was allowed to build. God creates laws for men and Gods to follow yet clearly the commandments were violated here yet Solomon is told to follow Gods ways, statutes, commandments and judgements and testimonies as it is written in teh law of Moses.
Solomon is most known for marrying foreign women but it seems to be his biggest sin of murder, unforgiveness and cruelty to the tribes of Israel are over looked and instead we regurgitate some ridiculous theory that his biggest sin was marrying foreigners. Don't be deceived by commentary follow the acts of Noah and the commandments. Solomon's behavior was responsible for the demise of Israel.
More to come.
The realtionship between the Kings of canaan and Akenatan are very important because it provided insight into the relationship between the Pharoahs and the rulers of the ancient world. It also sheds light into the reason it was important for Solomon to marry the pharoahs daughter. It gives him authority and he then become owner of what ever the pharoahs daughter inhertis becasue the women of African inhertited land while most women of the ancient world were considered as property and did not own land or rule.
We want to consider that the laws of Moses that King David refered to were the laws of Thutmose and not Moses who was actually called Wadikafara this means water and atonement. This name is more than likely the name Moses was given by the Pharoahs daughter because it is associate with water and mercy or grace. I am saying this because it is more thatn likely that the Moses and God that King David is refering to when speaking to Solomon is the Pharoah of the Southern region of the nile civilization in the form of the priest of Amun or Amon. I belive the temple that David wanted to build was the temple of Ra-Amun.
