Introduction to the Administrator
Welcome to The Bible & History, a Study of the Bible, my name is Kneesee, some people know me as Diane., peace and stability to all. As a child I attended an African Methodist church, at age nine I became an avid student of the bible as a pre-teen I received water Baptism, as an adult I received the holy ghost, speaking in tongues after which I served the Pentecostal & Apostolic churches. I am a believer in the teachings of the Gospels and humanity. I am a former Sunday School teacher and bible student who enjoys the study of history and the church. My favorite bible are King James Open Bibles by Nelson publishing and the Archeological Bible.
Purpose of this study
Proverbs 4:7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore, get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.
I decided to create a Facebook group and blog to examine the bible through the lense of history. We want to erase the stigma that the bible is full of contradictions and search the scriptures for understanding. We want to remind people that the events of the bible take place on the continents of Africa and Asia and therefore the cultures and traditions of these ancient people should be considered during bible study. The goal is to get understanding because we believe God would not have us unable to answer questions about the Christian faith. All topics comments & post are open for a respectful discussion & questions.
